I came here exactly to comment on Rachel. I appreciate she is good...but I will respect someone with humility waaaay more than someone with out and confidence/arrogance. That quote..and that "product of my brilliance" quote almost made me puke. In fact..she paused before saying it too...like she actually thought about it and considered it. I cant wait for the day that Tahnee kicks her smug big teethed smile right out of the park. Any respect I had for her went right out the window.

its no wonder the rest don't really hang with her

and if you want an example of someone with humility - then i think there is no better example than Sam Hill...although i don't know what the hell he is up to at them moment

I'm not sure it's Schumacher levels of arogwince causing cringeworthy word choices, but likely she's simply not a good public speaker. First prize to her for quotable soundbites. No doubt the internet is going to be grinding its collective teeth over it.

If she had said "achievements" instead of brilliance, it would've made her comment much better me thinks.

perhaps...if it had been someone like Loicv then maybe I'd agree with that....but English is her native tongue...and the fact that she choose that word is a psychological insight into how she see's herself. She even said it  - how she complacently didn't even look at her lines etc..like...I am going to win this....so whats the point

Hahaha Rachel's comment was a little bit revealing and not in a good way. I thoroughly enjoyed this race - the track has grown on me and I think its a good test of skill. Watch the raw footage on Vital for Brosnan's crash in the rocks during practice  - from two different angles nogal.

I am so glad Hart won. He has clearly been working on himself and it has worked which is a good lesson for anyone who wants to improve their riding.  Greg did what he does best - smooth and consistent. Gwin's run was probably the best to watch - fast where others were not as fast and sketchy, and he does indeed come across better than he used to.

I watched some of the XC but fell asleep watching the men's on replay. I think the TDF is streets ahead in entertainment value over XCO.

Oh, and I want to make a WIIIIIIIIIIILD prediction for 2017. Ratboy to quit Syndicate and join Intense.  I smell a wee rat...

what's the basis for the prediction? Not doubting you in anyway, just mighty curious is all.

where do you get that idea from?

I get the sense that josh and greg aren't the biggest of pals...so if that is the case then it would make sense the when peaty leaves...so does he...

sounds like the luca shaw rumour is gaining momentum though

They may want to get rid of him  - he has been dismal this year. Maybe more of a Shaun Palmer type personality than a Rob Roskop, so it could be a good match.

no one's talkign about those amazing anti-vibration pads stuck all over Commencal bikes. First thought was : power balance. remember those 'devices' with near miraculous capabilities?

uses quantum electrodynamics to disrupt vibrations at the atomic level, or something to that effect. f'ing amazeballs, especially the part where one of the Commencal riders said the change in bike behaviour was immediate and substantial.

RR alone or the new dutch overloads?

What you said makes me again wonder about how the hell CRC/wiggle is happy with Sam Hill's status quo.
