Hi Guys, apologies if this is not the correct spot to ask for advice but would anyone know what a fair price would be for a used KTM Score 3.0 26" duel suspension with Shimano SLX group-set and tubeles tyres. No signs of major wear or scratches.

Im looking for an entry level MTB and this has come up while searching. Thanks

Just dont overspend on your entry level bike as you will probably be buying your next bike soon anyway ;) Are you specifically looking for a dual?

You're right, that's what happens when you copy and paste. Best I go look for advice elsewhere though

Thanks for actually replying with something worthwhile. It does not have to be a dual. Budget up to about R13k for now

Dont be too sensitive, if you want to hang around here be prepared to take it from all sides. 26 ers are a dime a dozen, and that's really great if you are looking for a good bike. Theoretically there is nothing wrong with them and they still make plenty of people smile everyday.

I went from a 26" Silverback Mercury 3 to a Mercury 1 to a 29" Giant Trance to a 29" Pyga 110 in a space of three years, as your skills and fitness levels improve you can quickly out grow a bicycle.

I bought my wife a 26" Merida One Twenty XT for 8k two years ago and she loves her bike.

Don't pay more than around 8k for a 26er or you'll have a bike for life.

Don't be over sensitive, stick around and you'll come to know Vetseun along with a few others as jokers who don't meen you harm.

On the second hand bike front, be careful when buying a second hand bike, especially a dual suspension.

Often the previous owner might not have maintained the bike properly and you'll end up buying a bike with worn component's that might cost you thousands to repair.

See if you can get a buddy who knows a bit about bikes to go look at bikes with you.

PS : Dually's are much more expensive to fix and maintain than hardtail's.

Crazy88 welcome to cycling...you definitely going to upgrade at some point in time as your love for cycling grows. I too had a bad experience with a bike starting off which nearly put me off biking completely. It is good advice to check Bicycling mags buying guide. Depending on how tall you are you might want to consider a 29er...thats what changed the game for me. Consider maybe getting a Titan or even an Axis. Titan normally have quite good value for money bikes. Try make sure your drivetrain is at least shimano SLX or Sram GX. Check for a fork like Rockshox or Fox. Like I said though be prepared to want too upgrade! It gets us all.
