Easy on the exclamation marks dude. It could have been handled better for sure, but you weren't ripped off. I ride 'pay trails' regularly and are used to coming across sections that are temporarily closed off for maintenance, with no up-front notification. I'd rather have this than pay to ride a trail that's poorly maintained.
