My new ride...its my first road bike.

Felt F85, stock.  Very happy with it, already did 140k's only got it on Thursday night.  I might upgrade the crank and brake's at some stage, they do not seem to be of either 105 or Ultegra, oh and a new seat soon.  I only say this because it doesn't have a 105\Ultegra label on like the rest of the components.  But while its working, I will not spend an extra few grand on it.

Sorry, if you are holding your breath for a couch pic, it won't come! Wink

Sorry, this last pic was supposed to be rotated.

Yes, it look dirty because I took it for a few rides.  Now I need to clean it. Tongue

Nice bike!

I wouldn't worry too much about the crank - it looks like an FSA Gossamer. Based on prices and weights I've seen, I'd say it's roughly equivalent to, if not slightly better than, an Ultegra crank. The one on my Merida 904 is still going strong after over 2500km.

I also think it looks prettier than the 105 and plain Ultegra crank.

Congrats on the new Bike, Felt are great bikes.

If you are looking to upgrade, look at the wheels first.

They are Alex AKX R2, which is the absolute entry level Alex rim. My Felt also came with them, and the first hard braking and slide I had due to an idiot motorist, wiped them out. Rear wheel buckled, and the seam cracked. They are not the best of wheels!!

Local LBS had a special on Shimano 105 hubs coupled with Mavic CXP33 rims for R3400.00. Apart from dropping about 400g weight, huge difference in performance.

Nothing wrong with the cranks or brakes.

As long as its working, theres not much wrong.  I most certainly won't spend a few more grand on brakes, crank and wheels at this stage.

My Giant has a big American flag saying "Designed in the USA", and a little sticker saying made in Taiwan. Still, at least Taiwan is one up on China.
