Just remove the currrent X-sync Chainring and replace with the size you need in Eagle

Just discovered that my new latest has a 83mm BB shell, whereas my previous bike was 73 and therefore the  cranks won't fit. The bike is a Cannondale FSi with a hollowgram crank with a 6mm offset. I have been unable to find a 1x12 chainring that fits onto the Hollowgram crank, neither does SRAM list an Eagle crankset that accommodates the 83mm BB.

I have noticed in the Scalpel SI catalog they list a Custom Eagle XX crank on I think the Team model, but I shudder to think what that is going to cost.

Any suggestions?

Try Leonardi Factory - Gecko Cannondale Eagle

You don't need to change your crank or HAVE to use a 12 spd chainring.

Most chainring manufacturers are updating their websites to say 10/11/12 speed compatible.

I kept my race face crank and just bought a bigger 11sp chainring.

Works perfect.

I know sram will tell you there is a difference and you have to use their front blade but that is BS.

Just keep your cannondale crank and get a bigger(34 or 36) 11 sp chainring.

this is true with 1x11 , but as I understand the eagle chainring is made very different with a purpose

And sram would love you to believe that.If you go to wolf or race face websites you will see they have all updated their chainring data to be 10/11/12 speed compatible and they specify eagle as well.

Been using mine for a month and works perfect.

The 12 speed ring is a lot quieter and gives better chain life as it doesn't hold on to the chain as long . An 11 speed ring does do the job though , as long as its in newish condition  and you run the 12 speed chain there wont be any issues .

ZXR if I was in your position I would ask Naas to organize me a Wolf direct mount chainring for your cannondale crank and away you go.That cannondale crank is one of the best around, way better than the sram.

You are going to get a lawyer letter from SRAM soon. :P

Guessing you have a BB30 crankset?

I did some digging and a GXP will fit apparently:

A GXP crankset with the wider q-factor (168mm) fits in the BB30A-MTB 83mm bottom bracket shell with the Wheels Manufacturing universal bb30/pf30 to GXP adapter. It requires the use of a 0mm offset direct mount ring for rings 34 tooth or greater, for 32 tooth and smaller you can use the 3mm offset to get chainline a little bit tighter. The narrow q-factor version (156mm) does not clear the chainstays. An XX1 Quarq does not fit as it's designed with a 6mm offset position for the chainring which even the 32 tooth rubs on the frame. If they launched a BOOST version of the XX1 Quarq that would fit the F-Si in the 168mm q-factor with a maximum 32 tooth chainring.

Hi ZXR

As mentioned by the other Hubbers already.

Both Wolftooth and Absoluteblack are 100% compatible with the Eagle 12 speed drivetrain.

Absoluteblack is in stock at R995 each and Wolftooth I can order for you with our next batch - ( arriving 18 October) at +/- R1195 a chainring depending on exchange rate at that time.

You can mail us on info@evobikes as well to place an order.

My 2c - I would keep the Cannondale Crankset and fit one of the 2 above.
