Patchelicious Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Stage/GC or young rider Would love to see him doing well.Definitely only stages, he has no chance in the hills
Gen Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 André Greipel: “The finale was really hectic. We couldn’t stay together as a team. Jasper De Buyst brought me in a good position but what Pöstlberger did here is very impressive. He stayed well ahead but this shouldn’t be a surprise because he is a strong rider. He proved that this year with his fifth place in the E3 Harelbeke. Not everyone can remain ahead of a bunch that wants to sprint for the victory. I wanted to sprint for pink but Pöstlberger proved to be the strongest. We will be looking for another opportunity in the next couple of days. “ Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
'Dale Posted May 5, 2017 Author Posted May 5, 2017 “We wanted to try for a sprint for the final for Sam. Through the city the lead-out trains, I don’t know, they lost my wheel or something and I had a gap...I heard over the radio, ‘C’mon, Posty, go try!' and I put all I had in. It worked out – victory for the team, first professional victory for me, maglia rosa. I think I will need many weeks to take this victory in. It’s unbelievable, really.”

HappyMartin Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Bloody Giro. I decided I wasn't going to sit obsessively in front of the TV and watch it this year. Now look. Something special about this race.

What a good guy. (Before Carbon has an embolism in his cold, black Sky-heart, I mean the Gee-rilla)

'Dale Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 Stage 2 Directly from the 2017 Giro road book:First comes a rolling section across the district of Nuoro, with three long climbs: Bitti and Orune (non-categorised climb), Nuoro (a steeper, categorised climb) and Passo di Genna Silana (cat. climb). Past Genna Silana comes a long, fast-running descent (over 20km, quite bumpy at points) on wide, well-surfaced roads. The final 10 km are flat.
