Pure Savage Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Who abused who? And who pushed who? The abuser was allowed to race on. Not my fault he was a Sky racist. I would have made the same point had he been from any other team. Racism is a worse "crime" than pushing a guy, in my view. Any other incidents you would prefer to compare where one guy is allowed to race on and one is not? Edit: is not not in not Organisers obviously go by the motto: Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me.

If you have a problem with that, as most people do, let's talk about it, in its own thread. I am sure it is deserving of it. You could have used hundreds of examples where physical contact was made between riders in other races. But you chose to compare it to a case that suits your world view. If you hate Sky just own it, don't try and hide behind some thinly veiled justification. You are better than that.

Nibali Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Yah, gonna be a blow for Nibali, Moreno was a key man. Jip, don't think Nibbles is going to be pleased about this. Hopefully the Astana guys forget he is on a different team when they're all in the red and he can use them BoomThere ya goPityBlemish for the sportIt's got enough negative drama already Agreed, don't need this in bike racing. Deserved punishment from the Giro's side.

One example form the same day and the same race. The abuse carried on for some minutes and was broadcast on the channel I was watching. But I felt the Kevin Reza abuse where no action was taken was in stark contrast to today's action and pointed that out. Adding the team was gratuitous and tongue-in-cheek. Justified to highlight the inconsistency of race juries being dependant on the team of those involved. Same thing happens in all sports. The bigger teams get an easier passage.

nochain Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Really sad that Jacques could not hang with Polanc..was a great opportunity for him to get a stage win.He is a very good climber so would have liked to see him battle it out.Maybe he was to focused on the job for the day and they did not think the break was going to stay away?I am a big fan off him and would like to see him do better..think he needs a win or 2 to up the confidence.
ScottCM Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 He's soo annoying to listen to, wish there was an option just to mute him. I would much rather listen to Carlton & Dan than Phil & Paul

Erroli8a8 Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Its a pity that the mic's the riders wear are not always on. if they were recorded then racist or verbal abuse could be found and action taken. we can only see physical abuse but not hear the verbal. so it's only physical that gets acted on. It would also be good TV if we were given some discussions between the riders or between the riders and the team directors, like in F1.

Although. . During some of the spring classic we heard some of the DS discussions. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
