Didnt see a dedicated thread for this one so thought I would start one for the hubbers that will be following it.

I have been reading stuff on slow twitch all morning and Im getting all hyped up for it.

Lots of new bikes making a showing too should be quite interesting to see how they go.

Anyone got picks for favourites?

Okay so back to your queston:

Podium Predictions:  If I was a betting man then-Frodeno, Kienle Raelert. But if logic deserts me then: Raelert, O Donnel, Bocherer.

With the Women: Carfrae, Ryf and some other chick-okay then what about Steffen.

I am more interested to see the Carfrae/Ryf duel, and there is talk of Weiss trying to smash the bike record on the DB. And then I hope Cunnama and Jordan Rapp have good races

Well done to James and all the Saffers. Very impressive to see the Saffer Age groupers (Garron Mosley best of the lot) doing marathons in just over 3 hours after everything they already endured.

Anyone know what happened to Kyle Buckingham on the run that he DNF'd?

He was having a good event but his run time was very slow relative to the others. Maybe had a problem.

I thought 26th was a great result for James until I looked back and saw his 4th place in 2013... still is a good result, just not his best.

Also see that there are regularly 6 women in top 100, in fact 2014 & 2015 there were 10. Kudos to the ladies

hey, don't get me wrong 26th is superb but he came off the bike in the top 10 ish. his run was 3:10 which was 25 minutes slower that the top 2 and 30 minutes slower than 3rd place. A run time 20 minutes faster would of put him in the top 10. He normally is a solid runner.

I think he had a problem somewhere on the run. He came out strong of the water and had a good time on the bike. I think after the bike leg he was only 12 minutes off the leader tat point.
