Oxter Posted July 21, 2017 Share This is a very strong group. If I was a sprinter in the main peloton I would be worried.especially with a lead of 6min already and only one cat climb to come

dev null Posted July 21, 2017 Share especially with a lead of 6min already and only one cat climb to come And the GC focussed teams will do stuff-all to work in bringing back the break, hoping to save energy for the GC riders to do the TT. It's basically up to Lotto Soudal, Sunweb and others to bring it back. I am not even sure Sunweb will bother.

Sunweb might be happy with their amount of stage wins and the two jerseys at this stage. Lotto Soudal would be the only other chasers for the Gorilla, except Thomas de Gendt and Tony Gallopin is in the break. So, agreement that this break will survive? Gonna have a classics style finish to this stage probably with attacks and counter attacks galore in the last 50km...?
CASSIE1975 Posted July 21, 2017 Share Wonder how many km's Team Sky have been in front of the Peloton (not the breakaways) setting the pace in 2017...if you switch on the tv, or change channels and the white SKY shirts are not the first thing you see, it's actually weird... dev null Posted July 21, 2017 Share Gorilla should be upset with himself in not making it to the break today. So far he has just been a passenger in the race.

dev null Posted July 21, 2017 Share What is the odds on Brambilla for today? It depends if they can drop BH. But, I think you will see a big attack with 20km to go from some of the other classics specialists in the break.

J Wakefield Posted July 21, 2017 Share Froome has acknowledged how good Landa is and with reports of him leaving sees him as a very good challenger. Sky seem to pop out GC contenders to be snatched up by other teams, Uran, Porte, Landa, the list grows. Sky buy GC contenders so they don't have competition. shaper Posted July 21, 2017 Share Sky now pushing the pace. No idea why.Probably marginal gains... they were going too slow to be optimally efficient !!
