Gen Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 100% accurate Gen.He has extended with Sky for another 2 years as far as I can remember that would make him 33 with his last year with Sky .. and now I know he is a late bloomer, but the clock will be winding down on his GC career, Maybe he will sign with someone that could give him the Giro and Vuelta ambitions. I personally really think he would like a shot at the Giro and a proper go at the Vuelta, but I really battle to see it happening at Sky. Next year is the 100th edition of the Giro, maybe they will let him attempt the Giro - TDF double, but i think I read that he wants to go for the TDF- Vuelta double next year.Just the conditions at the Giro is really challenging for him, and he is prone to picking up colds and bronchitis. He has rode it back in 2010 but was DQ for holding onto a Motorbike up a climb.
