Pah Bear Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 This is the biggest issue..especially with them Sky haters..always use their strength as excuse. Not the other GC guys being weak or having piss poor tactics.Yesterday Bardet had his whole team with him..But they chose to ride hard tempo for 5 k plus instead of burning all of them up in 2 k of max riding. If they did that and then the GC guys take over, Froome would have never seen them again.Imagine getting a 1 min gap on him with the doms and then Aru, Bardet,Martin,Contador and Uran drive it home. That is taking the race to him...but NO they just all sit there and watch as Bardet teammates pace.Strongest riders in the world right now all together and NOTHING!!!Watch what Pinot,Nibs and Q did to Tom at the Giro..Isolate and drive it home for every Second they can get.GC riders taking responsibility for what they are paid to do...drop their rivals.Getting a bit tired of this Sky is too strong story. You really want to tell me the top 5 GC riders in the race are affraid of (Neive) Sergio Hanao ... because it was really just him there for most of the chase back??Would have loved to see them fight alla Pinot,Nibs and Q on the penultimate stage of the Giro!!!!Corrected. It was Sergio me think doing the pacing after they burnt off The Watt machine. You make a hell of a lot of sense here. Agree with you fully. Just got a bit cheesed off again yesterday with fans booing CF as he was working his way back. What are they still on about? Can't be the past doping issues or ... do they all just fit in with your analysis of MORE SKY HATERS? Probably.

Probably.Must be a French thing..I just think they tired of the dominance and they feel they have a real chance this year. But real cycling fans probably look at it differently because cycling is not just about Letour and if you look at the whole calender Sky actually are very much avg.
'Dale Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 When Ryan asked Brailsford what parts of the piece before the Tour de France he considered inaccurate, Brailsford replied: "I'm not getting into that. It was opinion, you write ****. “We make ourselves available, we answer all the questions and you write this ****.” The heated exchanged continued. Ryan suggested that the only other person to act like this (with the media) was Bruyneel when he barred Sporza at the 2009 Tour de France. Brailsford replied: “Are you accusing me of running a doping programme as well?” Ryan said: “Well, UK Anti-Doping are investigating that...” At that point Brailsford said, “You can stick it up your arse” and walked off. From Cyclingnews Brailsford, cracking with all the media pressure ????

nochain Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I still say Bardet will be 2nd in Paris. Aru WILL blow on Stage 18 (Please dear God). Man, I can't stand that guy. He has a face that just begs to be modified. Probably won't happen but I would love to see Martin and Uran get the spots. But will settle for Bardet and Martin.
kosmonooit Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I'll go for Froome, You-ran, an Dan the Man on the podium.
kosmonooit Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Haha yeah, I used to love listening to the Giro especially on RAI, they were fantastic, shouting and hollering and actually nothing was happening... - cant get it here sadly so I am stuck with NBC......!! During the Giro I always watch the RAI post show - not that I understand much Italian but love their passion and presence and sometimes the guests talk English. The Columbian team was also giving it horns during the racing, you could always hear them in the background of Eurosport. There is a post show on France 2 during Le Tour that I watch as well , but them Frenchies are always the slick and smooth.

Pah Bear Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I'll go for Froome, You-ran, an Dan the Man on the podium.Things are so close I tend to agree with you. These are the only 3 amongst that top that can TT and that will be when the weakness show. Bardet is a definite look in, but if things remain as close as it is now, I think he will lose out. So ... we'll see.
'Dale Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Less than the duration of a normal tv ad Between positions 1-4 Don't blink in week 3 ⚠️
Patchelicious Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 This is a cycle race, not a beauty pageantWell his cycling conduct is even uglier.
dev null Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 This is a cycle race, not a beauty pageant By modified, I meant by a fist.
Thor Buttox Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 As a Sky man, I have been really confused by the lack of tactics of the other teams. Either they are unable or unwilling to attack the Sky troops. Never thought I'd say it but I really wish Beefy Berto was still in his prime (steak) cos other than Bardet and Martin the rest simply don't deserve to be on the podium. And I really don't think Sky is operating at anywhere close to 100% either, even without considering the impact of Gee-sis Hiskraschtagen.

coppi Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Arabic commentary is probably the most passionate I've ever come accross. They literally scream when a rider just passes another one. It's amazing. And the cycling culture of the Arabs is immense...........not

I reckon that the Skyborgs are maxed and that other teams are improving. Hence, the gap is closer. What Sky do well with their tremendous budget is recruit the best domestiques and that really gives Froome Dawg the platform for his success.
