I honestly believe he can only go with a very steep uphill finish with 1km to go. Whenever he hits the front by accident he immediately flicks his elbow. That said - he is getting piss poor team support. I hope DDD will be able to to better.

Is LM going to DDD?

I honestly think its a confidence thing because he has the ability(IMHO). Even the commentators are picking up on it. The other day Uran also had a few words with him. He needs to stop this NQ mentality, Wheel sucking never won anyone anything positive.

Hes managed to stick with the best of the best all of the Tour now. He can definitely manage an attack it's more about whether he wants to do this or whether he's just content with where he is. I suspect the latter.

Not sure DDD is the best team for him. They signed Cavendish for a reason and I don't think Cav will be all too happy if they decide to refocus on GC. Unless of course he tries his hand at the Giro or Vuelta which is what I think he should do.

There are rumours that DR has been in contact with him.

He has been trying for a while to bag him, But Robbie Hunter is his agent and DR and RH are not exactly mates, so not a whole lot of chatting going on there.

So he could try on Thursday according to this theory...

Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday for the Skybots and Froomedawg to stave off any majour threats.

I'm expecting Aru to go on Thursday too but he will need to gain over a minute on Froomie so he doesn't just lose everything on Saturday in the ITT... Potentially shaping up for some exciting racing this week

Eish Froomy getting Booed by the spectators [emoji15]

The worst part of the TDF, is all the French people in France.

Firstly booing someone, zero class. But booing someone for winning, while they are happy to cheer on known dopers. Pfff.

hahahaha it's sad but funny at the same time.

Didn't we all cheer for Daryl Impey but hate Lance?

French spectators showing zero class while Froome shows he is all class.

I watch the tour every year and every year I hear commentators talking about isolating the yellow jersey. However when you look back in the group, all the contenders are themselves isolated. If I've learnt anything about cyclists it's that different GC contenders will very seldom work for each other against a common enemy. Unless Froome does something stupid, highly unlikely, or he has a crash/ bad day, this tour is his to win. I don't see any real threats in the rest of the pack.

Froome showed a lot of composure yesterday, got a flat, relax, change a wheel, pull them back and at the end of the stage he chased Dan Martin. To beat Froome you are going to need a man on a horse, not dwarfs on pig's!

And whilst I'm on my high horse, Louis needs more power in those legs. I hope he goes to DDD as a long term prospect for a new look DDD. Build a team to support him long term by starting in Spain then Italy and then on to France. By then Cavandish is long retired.

But what do I know! I'm just a Lazyboy spectator, enthusiastic but in front of the TV.
