Admittedly, the wet weather was a leveller, Gen

In the dry, Tony M would've been more formidable

(Still a fan defending the Rainbow Jersey wearer ????)

Oh of course.. no in the dry I think he would've smashed them all.. make no mistake I am a huge Martin fan..always will be. .. just also think Katusha isn't quite the right fit for him.

I was not going to watch any of the TDF this year. Leaving for Tibet on Wednesday and I'm away until 1 August so I figured why bother. Turns out I just cannot help myself. I will watch the few days I can then follow on tourtracker when I am able.

Yeeehaaaa. Let's race!!!!

I don't think it was him vs Nairo at all , he was playing the role of El Kapitan in the team, and the diminutive Columbian sure could have done with this help / advice / leadership at the Giro so that is the real loss imo. He might have take a stage or two as well.

What would have changed from the past 3 tours where Valverde has left Quintana high and dry on numerous times...

Martin is definitely not the TT king anymore. I also believe he should leave Katusha.

That bike though: 1x11 58 30x11! On a dry day the moto better watch out.

Any one else enjoying Phinney's insta and twitter? Real amazing character!

Re: Phinney, one of the GCN guys did an interview with him. Sounds like one of the weirdest guys around, a bit of a throwback to the 1900s. No powermeter, no team radio. "It's all about speed".

20 stages left. We should cut Porte some slack. He was over cautious in the rain. d6eec1b0fff8a4978c0fff281a2237b9.jpg

35 seconds is more than just down to being cautious..... they have been Vroomed by CF and team Sky
