Hi Guys thinking of getting one of these frames but with an Alu fork.

Does anybody have one or ridden one of these and is in a position to offer some advice?

Would appreciate input, good or bad.

Thanks

I saw recently that the London Rd frameset, with carbon fork, is on special on the Planet X website. Looked quite nice - not with the P&P mind.

Isn't RyanPMB the SA agent??

Thanks for the input.

Don't know about Ryan 'cos I did mention I was looking for a frame, Cotic at that stage I think.

Tried all over the country for a "cyclocross" type frame but nobody wants to import a frame only into this country, too much work and not enough profit.  Some shops don't even reply to mails (reputable, recommended people)

Yet, overseas companies are quite prepared to assist on a small order like a frame.  Makes you think, doesn't it?

Giant were the worst - take it or leave it attitude on a complete TRX.  I offered some "incentive" to sweeten the cup but they had no idea about models in the range.

LBS don't need to make hard money as there seems to be enough soft cash around.

So I guess I will bite the bullet and do it myself.

Have you tried Matt, the SA Cotic agent? Perhaps an Escapade would be to your fancy?

Yip, tried him initially, made contact and then all went quite.

Check the comment s on this thread. There is a London Road owner there, might be worth dropping him an email. He might want to sell his one as he wants the niner

or just buy the niner! :)

Kona will import.....at least when I queried from them a while back(dialbikes)

Frameset pricier though than the London frame, about the same as Niner. There are really not many framesets available locally. Whyte, Turner and Devinci make some nice frames. Turner available as frameset and should ship to SA. Best to send them an email, they respond quickly. Or try some of the bigger shops like competitive cyclist. I could not find a branded frame that suited my pocket and taste, so I ended up ordering from China

Too small and did think I could "extend" it Damn, does not work.  Looking for a 59.

Have dropped Niner a line but if I am nit mistaken, steel frame only kicks off at 20K>>>  Bit rich for me.

Thanks Look.  Will take your advice and look into it.  The Niner is just too good though!!!!!  Appreciate the help.

Pleasure. The Niner is nice, had my heart set on one, but price was too high for me unfortunately

Consider the Niner RLT frame in the classifieds too!!

Saw that the minute it was posted.  Nearly purchased it without blinking.  And then I noticed the size.  Too small.
