29er Dual Suspension frame

Hi guys

 

Any idea what and where one can buy a decent dual suspension frame (M) for about anything between R12 000-R25 000.  I have been doing some searches and the only frames in that prices range seems to be 2016 Momsen Vipa frames.

 

Pyga, Specialized and the big names are out of my price range.

Spez often has new old stock frames available at a discount this time of year 'coz the 2017 stock is coming in. Last Saturday I heard there may be some 2015 Stumpy FSR frames available and these may be in your price range.

You might be able to squeak a Transition Smuggler into your budget, but it would be at the upper end

 

Edit: Just to add, hubber Droo at Stoke Suspension works in Cape Town should be able to help you out with the Transition frames

I think Kings cycles should be able to get you a Anthem Alloy or Advanced (carbon) frameset in that price range. Otherwise try Giant Durbanville

You might be able to squeak a Transition Smuggler into your budget, but it would be at the upper end

I seem to remember the Scout (yeah it's a 650b but what a bike) and the Smuggler are around the R25K mark.

Quite keen on the Pyga OneTen29.  I currently ride my hardtail with Reba RL 100mm fork which will be transferred to the new frame if I go ahead.

 

Do you guys think 100mm travel will be enough, not the a very aggressive rider
