Trawsaj Posted November 13, 2016 Share Vir R20k kan jy 'n baie nice hardtail koop. As dit my geld was sou ek kyk na hierdie: Merida Big Nine XThttps://bike-addict.co.za/collections/merida-29er/products/merida-big-nine-xt-edition-2017 Silverback Sola 1http://cyclefactory.co.za/shop/bicycles/silverback-sola-1-29er-mountain-bike/ Momsen AL429http://momsenbikes.com/bikes/hardtail-alloy/al429/ Maak net seker oor die max weight wat die wiele kan hanteer. Seker brands gaan net op na 100kg. Help.Me., DJuice, BSG and 3 others

Pete the Pirate Posted November 13, 2016 Share I am a big guy. 1.93m 110kg. I have had the privilege of riding almost all kinds of MTB's. Unless you are focusing on marathon or century rides, I would focus on comfort and enjoyment. Having played with fat bikes this year, I can highly recommend bigger volume tyres on hardtail bikes. I have just purchased a Trek Stache 5 for 23k. What a brilliant bike. Go anywhere, low maintenance hardball fun. Decent entry level spec. Lifetime warranty on the frame. SunRingle rims. All bulletproof. My 65k dualie 29er has been gathering dust this year. Good luck and safe cycling.

Zorro5614 Posted November 13, 2016 Share Merida Big Nine XT (hardtail) If you go dual, I would look for something with at least Shimano SLX components. Think that will cost closer to R35 000 slickjay007 and Cu Draad
Sitting@89 Posted November 13, 2016 Share Titan does a very nice spec bike at 19k (Titan 29r pro) I recently had to choose between this and a Merida XT edition. The Titan is better specced than both Merida and Silverback at the same price point. Titan has XT cranks, XT rear derailleur and SLX shifters and front derailleur, also has full SLX brake set where the Merida only has M315 brakes. The Titan has a Rockshox recon silver with 32 stanchions vs the 30 stanchions on the Merida (makes the fork stiffer and stronger the wider they are) and lastly the Titan has better rims (Stans ZTR rapid vs Alexrims on the Merida) in my experience (125kg rider) the Stans are damn near bombproof.
