GILBERT picked up a lot of seconds throughout the day to keep and secure the leaders jersey.I just think his endurance is lacking his year! After being beaten by Cav at last years tour, he has spent to much time in the gym and not a lot on the road. nochain 1

It was tough out there..QS forced the split so he also had to work to also help Gilbert secure that leaders jersey with the intermediate sprints.. and the late attack from Trek meant he had to use up more energy to get back again for the sprint. smaller bunch sprints not his strength. Look it was close at the line.. very close.. he was just a bit moeg I think.... but well played Kristoff..great win Also amazing to see Gilbert so strong again.. such a nice rider to watch.
