XX1 casette km achieved ?

I always wonder how many km could one get on a casette that cost a fair amount of money and since installing my XX1 casette last year its done over 6500km - one chainring - one casette and one chain ( I do look after my drivetrain and clean often)

I decided to put a new cassette ( a GX this time ) so it will be interesting to see how this one compares in longevity VS the XX1

Has any one achieved more then this on their  SRAM cassette?

I've ran the following cassettes and got the following km's

XO1 less than 1000km but this was bought on the bike 2nd hand so no idea how many km's it actually did before I got it

X1 XG-1180 Just over 5000km because I ran one chain to long before changing it out and it wore out the cassette prematurely.

GX XG-1150 6245km still on the bike, ran 3 chains on it already but slipping in 3 gears if I fit a new 4th chain so cycling back through my first 3 chains, trying to do 3 cycles on each.  In theory this should give me about 12000-15000km on one cassette+chainring and 3 chains, well that is the going theory I'm testing out :whistling:

I have ridden almost 10,000km on an XX1 cassette. I put a new chain on every 1000 to 1500km though.

When it was time to replace the teeth where actually still fine. The pins that hold the 42 had started to move, so I had to replace it.

I'm getting 50% more out of GX than XX1. Clean and look after cassettes, chain rings and chain very well. Replace chain every 1000 - 1500km's

Not SRAM but I got about 7500km on a XT 10spd cassette. Used 3 chains and alternated them often so the whole lot wears together. Eventually the pins holding the cogs on the spider worked loose and ruined the shifting long before the cogs were finished.

I have done over 7000 km on my original XX1 cassette and chain. I have just replaced the chain but the cassette is still good. I keep the drivetrain clean and well oiled and I avoid mud. I would rather put my bike on my rack and go home then ride or race in muddy conditions.

I have a spare GX waiting in the wings for when the original wears.

Not XX1, but XO1.

Currently on 15401km. Have one broken tooth in 7th gear, has been like that for more than 10000km without any shifting or any other issues. The cassette really doesn't look great and shows significant wear - to the extent that it is no longer possible to change the chain or the chainring as the new chain and chainring will in all likelihood suffer significant damage over a short period due to the wear on the cassette.

Very impressed with the durability and what feels to me like indestructability of the 1X SRAM drivetrain, however the maintenance is very expensive.

Would you mind uploading a pic showing the cassette and ring wear close up? I'm just curious to see.

i'm guessing we're talking about xx1 11 speed here (and the many exceptions) and not the xx1 eagle?  would be interesting to know what the wear on the eagle cassette is like.  i have the kit, but i haven't installed it yet.

Unfortunately I can't, the bike has been sold... Gears 7-10 were well worn and had some serious shark fins. Impressive part was that it never once slipped a gear.

I got just under 9000km out of my XX1 cassette. I changed the chain as soon as at was at 75% wear on the partktool chain wear indicator. I clean my drive train religiously and averaged between 3000 and 4000km per chain.

The cassette was actually still in decent condition, but I had a GX spare which I put on just because I had it when I needed a new chain.

Currently I am on Eagle, and the verdict is still out on drive train wear...

Thanks.

I'm also using Sram chains on my 1 x 11. Look after cassettes and chain rings (all Sram) very well but I still cannot get more than 1500km's per chain!!!

Frustrating indeed when I check with the Parktool....
