And, I’m out... The past few months have been hectic, pressure at the day job, a child with health issues, helping my wife to get a business off the ground after hours, been doing late night rides/runs/walks after spending evenings in the garage completing orders. The combination of flu, tiredness and a major highveld thunderstorm the other night forced me to make a call to skip it.

On the bright side, the experience has created an exercise habit, but the habit does need to be tweaked somewhat to focus on quality training time rather than just ticking a 20min box, which, if I’m honest with myself is what I was doing a lot of the time.

Good luck to those still in it, I’ll be rooting for you on the 31st!

Ag nee. But getting this far, you have created that habit, which is the biggest takeaway from the whole thing, to be honest. Knowing you can make time, means you will.

Next year gets interesting, doesn't it. January 1... you have to ride, just in case you want to try again :)

Hard luck, you aren't the first to stop and probably won't be the last - perhaps not this year, but anytime someone attempts the challenge.

Ride, I will do. Enjoying riding at the moment, acquired/built 2 new to me bikes this year, and am having fun on the bikes. Also realized that I’m not built to run...

In a 12 lap crit, we get the bell for the last lap at midnight tonight. After that, 31 turns/bumps/descents to negotiate to the finish line.

Good luck everyone still in it... [emoji352]

And yet, the biggest hurdle of all remains: managing the family over the Christmas period. It is all quite easy when they are heading for work/school, but once they are home and need entertaining. ..

PS. Rapha can stick its Festive 500 where the sun don't shine this year.

This passed week and next week has been a challenge with my brothers (and family) out from the UK - entertaining them most afternoons/evening.

Where's your sense of adventure?

It currently rests with the locksmith i will need to get back into the house should I even mention it.

730/730 wasn't well received, even as a joke.
