This year the fire season started way earlier with the drought and this hot and windy weather. Don't know how much will be left to burn when April comes. I just pray that our winter rains make a very early appearance.

andydude Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I was doing hill repeats on Red Hill this morning and thinking to myself how much I loved the trees, the sounds of the birds waking up, and even saw a buck running in the road just in front of me. Now it's most likely all going to be gone. So sad.I hate fires.It's sad! But we should also remember fire is part of nature and many plants/fynbos need fire to eject their seeds. The thin line between nature and humans!
