I am hoping that someone knows the answer to this.

 

Is the insurance with an annual licence for all riding or only during sanctioned events? The list of benefits says only sanctioned events, then on the same page is a testimonial from someone who was paid out for a crash on a training ride. As a result it leaves one not knowing what rides are covered.

I have no first hand experience but I've heard other testimonials (somewhere on the hub I think) of people who have claimed for crashes during training rides.

It used to be that it paid out on any ride, but as I understand, the new rules are that you would just be covered on sanctioned events

Correct from my understanding from 2017 you are only covered if participation in a CSA sanctioned event.

Correct from my understanding from 2017 you are only covered if participation in a CSA sanctioned event.

CSA takes sanctioning very seriously! They are serious about!! Take them seriously!

2016 you were covered if you were out training.

2017 you are only covered during a sancctioned event.

You might have seen a testimonial of an event that occured in 2016 possibly?

IF it happened in the 2016 Cycle, It should pay out. But the 2017 cycle it will only be at Sanctioned events

Oh and to my knowledge this only covers medical expenses.

Some one posted the policy wording from another thread and it states that for 2017, they only pay out for a sanctioned event.
