Help please..i have an aluminium seatpost stuck in a carbon frame.Have used oils to try and loosen the quick release but it is not bidging.

Any ideas on how best to remove this without damaging the frame at all.Not had reason to adjust it once I had set the height therefore no need to take it out at all...until now!!

Coke and time.

Turn frame upside down, pour Coke into the frame and leave it upside down for AT LEAST 24hrs.

This will break down the bond between the seat post and the frame.  You should then be able to twist it out.

I've done this a few times and always had success.

Or worst case, cut the seatpost and then slice it down the side from the inside with a hacksaw, it takes forever and then you need pliers to twist the seatpost towards the inside. You can also try a pipe wrench but in the end say good bye to the seatpost.

Thanks for the advice guys!!Will skip doing the " line' before doing the can however.

Will give it a go and wait for the expected result. And then will provide feedback.

PS:Need the seatpost out so I can get a new frame!!!!

Just go riding with a helmet, you will most likely crash and get an insurance claim according to the "No helmet, rather wear tinfoil brigade"

Cross-thread linkage. Gold star!!
