Bateleur1 Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 I am in the opposte position. Moving to within 1 km of new office premises from being 124kms away. So what are your plans? Commute with a detour?
Long Wheel Base Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Respect for riding in that! I waited till 6pm before I left Sandton.I actually thought would miss it. Left work at 15h20 and decided to try put in a little bit extra on the way home, I checked twitter just before leaving and the storm was just hitting alberton. I kept an eye on it but clearly I miss judged it. Then the rain started hard at about 15h40 and the nearest garage was closed for renovations. Raced to the next one and just before I got there the lightning got a bit too close for comfort, as in noise and light at the same time followed by needing a change of pants.
Long Wheel Base Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 I had the same, that lightning is scary stuff!I see you in Greenstone, I am in Edenglen, so we like 5km from each other. So we where probably dodging the same lightning bolts.
samson99 Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 I have joined. Just uploading all my commutes since January.

Bateleur1 Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 What are the odds of mapping the hub names with the names in Endomondo? One or two have put in the Hub names but most (myself included) have put in their real names. Would be interresting to know who's who in the zoo.
Long Wheel Base Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Exactly Where do you ride to?Mostly head east as I need to end up at the Airport. You?

I FLY Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 So what are your plans? Commute with a detour?Three mornings a week - do a +-20km ride around neighbourhood. Then have breakfast at home before wife and dogs will walk me to work. Then they will come to my office after work so we can walk home together. On the other two days we will just do the walk to and from work. My male labrador already has his own Strava profile so we will be able to log his escorting duties.
Flemish Lion Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 If it helps, i am currently in 1st position. 1220.39km (still got one or two days to upload). I'm on 1,150 km or there about... but not doing the endowhatever thing!
