None, all of it is perfectly ridable and 1300m climbing over 55km is easy. I'd go so far as to say if you don't ride it you might as well sell your bicycle.

are they going to stick to Natie's new single track anti-clockwise around the dam?

The majority of ppa fun riders can ride that.

Seriously? **** that! I was keen to go for a cool mtb race but not a hike a bike session. Will rather do both of the Paarl races the wknd after. Thanks for the heads up

Jaco, it's going to be a lekker ride, and take u into some amazing spots. U know me, and I like rough and technical stuff, this route is going to test good riders, and might be to much for novices.

 

If rouxenator has info that Natie has changed the route, then I am mistaken, but I know his original route well.

 

I also rode last year and nothing is the same this year, except the 1st and last few kms.

Had a training ride crash today. shouldn't have gone out riding 'cause was still very tired post Red Hill marathon of yesterday. Uuurrrggghhh!!! wrist sore, hand swollen, leg swollen, hip sore, helmet cracked, Oakley's stuffed, many, oh so many burning roasties and bike needs some major repairs. Other than that, I'm all good. Hope I can recover for this event.

Expensive and painful. Hope the body heals swiftly and the bike cheaply.

Did they confirm the total climb on the routes too? 

36km - 1400m

54km - 2300m

 

Also signed up and looking forward to riding the trails

actual elevation is 1450 for long route and 850 for medium

why pack hiking shoes? how many km will be completely unrideable?

Less than 1 km on the long route. Depending on skills level.
