Things are getting better.

At least you got a medal.

Been to SA's where there weren't enough medals.

Once you got your medal on the podium you had to give it back,so they could give it to the next group of podium riders.

Insanity is thinking anything has changed with CSA over the last 20 years.

Just stay away from road and go ride your MTB

20 years....try 30....

Actually the medals in the 80's were REAL metal, and of good quality!!

See the CSA comms stayed at Diemersfontein.  Wonder what the cost of accommodation was vs. the cost of the medals.

Tweet them and ask them if that is the kind of medal that you are supposed to show/display to the country.

And sommer copy the sports minister and the UCI into the tweet as well.

That is simply a disgrace. That is supposed to be the medal you recieve for the highest achievement in your country.

Now the minister is going to spend the whole day seeing if he missed out an a banquet and a party and then checking if cycling is part of his duty. His entire day is ruined.

Just wait till 2am when he starts drunk replying to your tweets!

For me it's more symbolic.  SA's you don't race for trophies or money or medals.  You race to put the stripes on you jersey and to be called SA Champ for a whole year!!!

I know you are day drunk, otherwise you would have read that I said, he will only drunk tweet you at 2am!

But on topic, those medals are one up from the plastic sticker stuck onto a tin medal.

You are right, it is symbolic, of how our government feels about our athletes.
