It's because SAS is useless. Very inconsistent in how they calculate their seedings

I just went over to their website now & not only do my race result live under 2 different profiles which will surely skew your index but all my races prior to 2015 has been omitted,  also many races done between 2015 to 2018 also doesnt reflect.

It was one of my pet moans here on the hub few years back that despite doing well in a few SAS timed races (including the Atta itself) I could never get better than a C seeding. Pretty frustrating to spend the first 4 hours of the race literally passing 100s of slower riders who were somehow seeded better. Just gave up trying to understand it and accepted that life is unfair  :P

Unless you are very good at practicing self restraint then see it as a blessing in disguise. I don't have that control & will & do get sucked in...every time.

Seeded C, I'm sure there'll be many a faster folk to enjoy the ride with.

The new seeding list says you must line up next to Karl Platt  :nuke:

No need to help anyone. It is a kind gesture but believe me not worth it. I have learnt this too often. Keep a little bit for the middle hills. Not technical but energy sapping.

that climb from Wp 3 is a MF.

the last 35km..... some will find religion

Weather looking a bit leaky again, especially on the Friday. Wonder if it will be as slippery in parts as last year. On the day should be only a few drupples here and there, cool enough temps and only a gentle wind about.

New race record for you Milky?

Enjoy boyz and girlz

Sadly no, will however leave it all out there & take what I get.

Wind was howling in Groot Brak today, straight into your face as one comes over the mountain from Oudtshoorn's side. A few raindrops as well, but nothing serious. I see that they predict rain for Friday as well with lower temps on Saturday, 15min and 19 max with a ssw wind of 15km/h with gusts up to 20km/h.
