Jeep track etiquette

Ride the best line possible. If someone wants to pass, they can go off the racing line to do so. If bi-directional, be sensible and assess where you can pick the best lines and where (blind turns, blind rises etc) you need to keep left. Remember ascending riders have the right of way, unless signage indicates the contrary.

Be a lert.

Lerts know that there can be riders on the right.

Lerts know there are those who ride two abreast on jeep tracks.

Lerts know riders cut right-hand corners.

Remember then IMBA rule rider going uphill has right of way - so bombing downhill means staying in control.

But surely that rule doesn't apply to riders on the wrong side of a jeep track?

AT all times is my understanding - but clearly it really relates a lot to tracks with only marginal free space or only space for 1 rider - common sense on a jeep track says keep left if you can't see traffic - if it's open enough you can see traffic coming and it's clear then I dont think picking the best line is an issue at all - as long as you have enough control to shift off line left when visibility changes or traffic comes into play
