fred and max are ok

and also merkavah near the top end caledon street (small place and roast their own beans)

you can also try lourensford - just up the road from you guys, also roast their own and also have a free tasting when last I was there.

and then snobs outside the mall, also do there own solar powered roasting (not sure that it means anything).

and there is new place at the interchange I will go try and report back .

The Legado roastery may be open tomorrow, it's on Rosenview farm on the R44, across the road from Buene Vista. Best coffee in Somerset West IMO.

The brew cafe inside Kelfords garage is my go-to at the moment for a quick coffee though. Hazz beans.

But we are still lacking behind when it comes to proper coffee culture.

Nothing wrong with Merkava and Fred and Max either. There used to be a pour over coffee bar in Parel Vallei road (just below Irene Rd,) operating out of a garage, but I haven't been past there in a while so I don't know whether they are still there.

Edit: there is a fresh Lorenzo Marx in Lions Square, and a Java (of so iets) in the Sanctuary as well.

The bar at Parel Vallei is still open, although never been in. The coffee at Lorenzo Marx, is so so and the service not great.

I dont like Kelfords, but am willing to give them a bash.

There are lots of coffee shops around, that use tredebore cofee, or truth coffee. Some use good old wiesenhof.
