No ways, will never use another one.

The sidewalls just tear and get never ending punctures.

The R299 Vitoria Zaffiro tyres from CWC I find are much better value and bullet proof.

CWC had GP4000Sii for R470 recently , that's the best value for money you will find at the moment.

Gatorskins are fantastic tyres too, if training is more your goal buy these.

Gators seem to be holding up well for me. My Gp4000s has too many cuts already and they havent done more than a 1000km, and not much that one can do with expensive rubber. It will land in the bin.

Have GP4000 on all my wheels, 23c on my training wheels, 25c on carbon 38mm race wheels and 25c on my TT wheels.

I find them much better rolling than gatorskins

What is supposed to be the difference between the Gatorskins and GP4000s?

Gatorskins are great training tyres, they made from harder rubber which prevents punctures.

That being said the technology is outdated, the new improved Gators are called 4 Seasons.

I did a trip with these from JHB - Durban and had no problems.

THE GP4000 has softer rubber (Black Chilli) and roll much better than Gators but don't offer the same puncture resistance. I use these for races.
