So I was teasing a mate who professes to be a Flat Earther by posting a link on Facebook to the Falcon Heavy launch. I was having loads of fun taking the P$ss out of him and then another flat earther chipped in with this

The globe earth lie sets the foundation for the "possibilty" of evolution and teaches man that he is insignificant in a vast Godless universe"

 

FE is a religion! and they don't take kindly to it when I ask them to repeat the words Falcon Heavy quickly a number of times.

The amount of stupidity is astounding.

Sometimes, if I need some laugh or to release stress, i just go to the FE community on the Facebook, you know, just want to see how dumb they are and they just prove with silly and stupid facts everyday. Good to know that i have some kind of place to laugh everyday.

My best explanation for the Flat Earth Society is that it was a real thing with real believers for a while, but somewhere along the lines it was taken over by Trollers, and they are taking us all for a ride, along with some of their original believers...

We have a conspiracy theorist at our work. He takes life very seriously and absolutely believes that man has never been to space, that satellites are probably high tech balloons but definitely not in space, the Mir and other space based research platforms are a fiction put out by governments and he recently stated that space might not exist at all. We stopped teasing him when we realised that he really believes that the majority of humans are being led by the nose by a global authority.

He does not ride a bike.(i should ask why not)
