Shopped local - Cycle Zone Rustenburg - pricing always very competitive.

I'm sure you going to enjoy it big time! Did you go with the trigger shifter?

The E Thirteen 9-46 cassette is only 11 speed whereas the Eagle shifter and derailleur are 12 speed.

So? It has bigger range with less clicks and not such a huge dinner plate cog...win, win and win.

Not so much win win, if you are going to try to use an 11 speed cassette with a 12 speed shifter and derailleur.

Oh I see what you mean. Thought we were talking about upgrade from 10 speed.

Any feedback on the gx eagle purchases? Was it worth it? How quiet does the system run on the 50t granny? How smooth are the shifts?

Only fitted on Tuesday, so had two rides, and shifting is exactly as it was with my GX 1 x 11 - perfect.

Will probably only use the dinnerplate on the weekend.

Thats great news. Only think holding me back at the moment is the fact that n will need a XD driver for my crossmax wheels, which is another R1300...Then it becomes a costly upgrade. Currently running a 1x10 xt setup with 32x36.
