Sorry Sorry Sorry obviously I'm making a bold claim saying she complains.

So what does her age entitle her to exactly ? Since age should mean something

She won the women's cross-country gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games and is a multiple World Champion.

She has won six World Championships and six European championships.

Dahle has also won four UCI World Cup XC in a row.

How does selection for the world cup work?

Shouldn't Nico Bell have been there as he is the SA Marathon champ

So what exactly does that have to do with age ??

And if you wanted to argue from A performance based point of view why call the age bullsh#t ?

Wow! 3 posts and already calling people names.

My comment about the munga was sarcasm (your IQ probably does not pick that up)....

But if that was 1 of the main criteria for sending this guy to worlds then it is a joke. I am all for development and there were some development riders at the epic that really did well and surely deserved to go

At Home With Alban Lakata - 2017 XC Marathon World Champ

https://www.pinkbike.com/news/at-home-with-alban-lakata-world-champ.html

I really like Lakata for some reason, epic never quite seems to fall into place for him but dude has been top of his game for a long time now.

Pizza time - against all the advice from specialists some **** has to be done… I love pizza and I don´t want to miss it. So normally Friday is my pizza day. Sometimes I meet also my teammate Sally and our manager Dave at the restaurant…

Nice. Seems like a bit of tar there. How much was it? Any single track at all?

I reckon that sort of disqualifies it as a "real" marathon event for me - maybe spoilt from a SA perspective. We can ride the whole 100km in the bush - maybe tar start and finish (like XC events, but more just doesn't give me that pure mtb element.

Anyway, it's clear that our Saffas can't compete on an equal footing yet. At least in the men's department. Women did very well (although it is slightly easier to compete here due to numbers).

My only concern is, that I have heard about doping in mtb (from an informed source). So I always forced to question who's on or not....

Just saying...

I agree here. They averaged almost 30km/h over 98km which is not MTB worthy for my taste :-)
