Well bunny has her first bike from the bikehub.

True hardtail running singlespeed. Tubeless conversion already done. Is fully automatic shifting with also full ABS.

We just need to organise collection. Either sandton collection during work hrs or east rand after hrs.

Any chance we can organise a custom spray job?

Andrew how do we go about size extra small unicorn kit?

I will be happy to collect and deliver anywhere - pm me.

We need to get the kit sent to you as well so it is a complete package.

All good - I can collect from Andrew too - I know where he is (not far) - and Waterfall

I just want to say that with all the darkness we see daily in the news, and what is going on in the world out there, I am humbled by the outpouring of love by a group of people, who have (for the most part) never met, towards someone they have only heard about.

This thread, no matter how bad things got, has encouraged me and given me a renewed hope that there is good in everyone of us if we pause long enough to forget about our own hang-ups to think of someone else for a change.

Thank you for restoring my hope in mankind again.

For all our Friday-fights and disagreements, you guys really know how to turn on the magic when it matters most. Long may it continue.

Well put! Since the start of this thread, Karmi's mum has been telling me that she cannot believe the selflessness and compassion shown by friends and strangers alike. This afternoon, after hearing about Hubland's latest "plot" ;) , she said that staying positive is exactly what is needed now and it is easier when others help you to not drift into despair. So, from me, a huge thank you. Perhaps, in this case, an old saying can be changed just a bit: "It takes a village to save a child."

2bliss, how is our Bunny doing now?

Well enough that the doc was 50% successful in her plan for today. (They had to leave the oscillator in place for now.) Still, progress is progress, even if it is slow. The blood transfusions helped quite a bit and the doc says Karmi "looks a bit better". Vague, but I'll take good news in any form.

The lung issue is the result of chronic lung congestion and infection since her prem days. I know the following statement is not in keeping with the positive vibe of this thread, but I would love to get hold of her (now fired) paediatrician for a little chat! How could he have missed this? She really struggled to gain weight. She was admitted to hospital many times and had a chronic cough. She couldn't sleep, because she woke up coughing all the time. Not to mention that prems are prone to lung issues and the paediatrician should have been vigilant. How could this have happened?

EDIT: AND all the previous physio, nebulising and asthma meds he prescribed did not help one bit.

No worries - we will get it organised - I just want to look at the frame first to see if it can be stripped apart and rebuilt without breaking plastic bits

Take a bow Sir, thank you !

When the "old" owner gets the details of collection to me I will pass on. Which is easier Sandton or Boksburg ?

Andrew, what do you need from us to have a size extra small (aka 2yr old) unicorn kit ready ?

I am just glad that there is real progress being made, no matter how small each step is. I also understand about her first paed. If I believed our first ob/gyn my daughter would either have been 28 weeks prem or aborted. She is perfect.

At least Bunny's team know what's wrong and how to treat her now. That's a win in my book.

Still I remain fighting in prayer for Karmi and Team Bunny.

May the positive steps keep on coming ....

Wishing the family all the best !!

The doctors are taking care of the little one.

Anything we can do to help the parents ?

Dear ChrisF, thank you! We are humbled by all the offers of help from so many wonderful people. I've asked them repeatedly and the answer is always the same: please just keep our baby in your prayers / hearts / thoughts. They don't ask anything for themselves.

We will be driving through to the hospital again on Sunday, taking with us some frozen home-cooked meals. Also, the biggest box of chocolates we can find for the amazing doctor who crossed Karmi's path in the nick of time.
