I have upgraded my Garmin for the Munga. Ive got a Garmin 500 edge that I replaced. Its like new. You can have it if you want it. Better that somebody uses it than having it lying in a drawer gathering dust.

I recently paid for a Garmin Edge 520 on Gumtree. The man who sold it's name was Hannis Hatting , he never posted it and won't take my calls or respond to messages. All I have is his cell number. It seemed legit at the time but now I'm feeling like a prize dumbass. Please be carefull and lookout for this bastard. His number is : 072 919 7596

We also recently experienced some Credit Card fraud and there might be some cheap Garmin Fenix 3 units floating around the internet at very attractive prices. They have been black listed so the Warranty wont holdup.

 

Anyway Vetseun has already kindly offered you his Garmin Edge 500. If you are ever interested in purchasing the Garmin Edge 520. Have you posted the serial numbers of the stolen stock somewhere would be good for potential buyers to check before purchasing from Gumtree / Olx

Now, here's what you do next: Phone navworld and tell them your Garmin 500 is acting up and that you would like to have it repaired. They'll then say that they don't do repairs, only out of warranty exchanges which you then opt to do. They'll tell you to bring/send the 500 in, pay the difference of roughly R1500 and get a brand new Garmin 520 in return, in the box.

 

I know, because this is what I did. Got a Garmin 500 for free from a friend. Now I have a new 520, with warranty. Yaay for Navworld. And flipping kudos to Vetseun for being a legend.

Okay, new plan, you do what I said above, then also get the Garmin from EasyBike and sell it straight away for the same amount that Navworld charges for the out of warranty swap out, thus meaning that you end up with a brand new Edge 520 for gratis     

 

Disclaimer: I am of course kidding and you should under no circumstances take advantage of either of these parties is such a manner, but at least you still have two awesome ways out of a crappy situation.
