Good morning fellow hubbers,

I recently (a week ago) got a new Cannondale Scalpel Si3.

It came standard with the Rockshox full sprint lockout for the rear and front shock.

Now my question: where would one put the dropper post lever if one is inclined to purchase a dropper post?

And a question for the Scalpel owners: would you remove the shock lockout in favour of the dropper lever?

Please post photos of your cockpit if you are able.

I look forward to all the smart and intelligent answers.  :whistling:

You do realise this is Hubland ... don't you?

I see what you did there Samson. Hiding the fact of your new Scalpel in a thinly veiled cockpit reference...devious. Spend much time with Delilah lately, eh?  :whistling:

as for me - jealous much? Ja, MUCH!

I would remove a lockout in favour of a dropper lever every day of the week! But it won't be necessary, you get many different types of mounts for droppers. Maybe post a pic of your current cockpit set-up then we can see what we are working with...

checkout Lynne Components , not sure if their 1 x lever works for rockshox, but it should. Well designed and user friendly product

How I set the one up we had for review. This put the dropper remote (which I use more often) in the perfect spot and the lockout remote where its out of the way, but still reachable as I don't use it often.

EDIT: When you get a Reverb either order it with their 1x remote or order a left hand lever. As they originally designed designed to run on top of the bar, you can mount the RHS lever on the left hand side bottom of the bar where it makes more sense and will be easier to activate.

Thanks Iwan.

That setup makes sense and will be what i will aim for.

Was looking at the Lyne dropper post (internal).

Same with the Lyne, opt for the 1x remote lever that looks like a shifter and then mount it like the Fox Transfer dropper remote in the pic - bottom of the bar on the LHS.

Enjoy!
