But I try and do my own investigation (mainly Google) when buying from someone. Like the full name with the word cycling, you'll come out to either strava endomondo facebook twitter or racetec

Just a view from my side from a recent purchase.

 

I bought some Formula Cura brakes from MTB=Lad a couple of weeks ago. The comms weren't super fast initially but I've had worse. We arranged a price and did the deal. I EFT'd the coin across on a Friday and then didn't hear a word more over the weekend which was fine. 

I then followed up with a few PM's and a TXT on the Monday which didn't get any response. Mrs VD Merwe did give me her number in a message so I rang her just to check in, she picked up happily and she apologised as things had been very busy and said she'd respond. Again didn't hear anything at all, no tracking number, no confirmation of funds received, no notification of posting but the brakes arrived the couple of days later, exactly as described, perfect condition and very well packaged. They were send via courier as well when I'd only paid for postnet to postnet / aramex. 

I'm stoked with the item I bought, how it was delivered / packaged and while the comms were a little lacking that could be down to many things. I must admit I did fear for a bit that I'd had my first ever issue with a sale on le hub but with a bit of patience my 100% record stayed good.

Can't speak for other transactions but for me it still stands as a thumbs up sale.

thx that's why I haven't laid a charge yet I paid for Postnet to Postnet last week Tuesday and was told it has been send Wich takes 3days my msgs are being read at no response I'm not usually 1 to complain and patient but I'll be giving it another week I just thought I'll put a warning on this cause there is people that would actually use their last savings to purchase a part they really need would hate for them to loose their money if this is corrected I will apologise and remove the warning but for now without any response this raises a red flag.

We have taken a look at the account and can confirm there is no link with the other "Lad" involved with prior bad deals.

 

From hellocolour's response above and the number of deals which appear to have been done successfully it seems it's more a matter of patchy communication than any sort of scam.

@Stef987 - if you don't get a response in the course of today we can give the seller a nudge before taking any formal legal routes.

This sucks. How many times have you tried calling the guy? Sending messages is one thing but a phone call is usually a bit better at showing your unease.

 

MTB=lad sort this out. No point in tarnishing your reputation further by avoiding the unavoidable.
