When I hear the word race I get really agitated as it always stems from ONE origin. The anc.

But, then i think racing, yes bicycle race, and then Im happy again

Anyway, this topic is about the bikes.......can anybody make out what they are? Hopefully they did not go cheap and nasty as we ( not the anc ) would want these to last.

I hope the cops got some kind of skills training too............

I can confirm. I was in Hatfield on Wednesday and I saw a few on them on Titan hard tails with bags and lights. But sadly no power meters to see how much effort it requires to chase after an izinyoka.

Fantastic idea...............pity the anc always has to make it about race!!!

Quoting Wikipedia -

The municipal council consists of 214 members elected by mixed-member proportional representation. 107 are elected by first-past-the-post voting in 107 wards, while the remaining 107 are chosen from party lists so that the total number of party representatives is proportional to the number of votes received. In the election of 3 August 2016, the Democratic Alliance (DA) won a plurality of 93 seats on the council, but no party won a majority. On August 19, 2016, minority parties united with the DA to vote in DA mayoral candidate, Solly Msimanga as the first Democratic Alliance mayor of Tshwane.[10] Msimanga appointed a mayoral committee coalition consisting of the DA, African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) and the Freedom Front Plus (FF+).

My first thought was  ~ who scored from the tender for those bikes?  would probably the most expensive Titans ever sold in the history of cycling but then I read that the bikes were funded by the business community.

I think that when the ANC have nothing of value that they can say (which is majority of the time) they either use the word "white" or their favourite new word "radical"

I personally think it is a great idea.  As mentioned earlier I just hope the do skills training as they could be very effective if they know how to handle their bikes well.
