Gen stop trying to deflect, I know what i wrote. Each time I ask you a direct question, you counter with something else. You toss out opinion, but when asked to substantiate them you change the focus.

Which rules did he break?

I am not deflecting, I asked if Sky would fire him if he receives a ban.

In other words ...

If he receives a ban that means it was a doping violation which means he broke the rule of staying within the limit...

I am not sure how else to answer you

Sorry, misinterpretation on first post.

Yes, they will fire him if he receives a ban.

It's kind of like cheating on a test, getting the answers before you take it and hoping no-one switched the test last minute[emoji23][emoji23]

It may not mean that he is recreating the Vuelta only preparing not to flunk a test[emoji6]

He will or he won't get off ..the sun will shine the next day and life goes on.. either way he is going to have a really tough time racing in Europe...mostly in France. .well at least for 2018[emoji6]

So first up i am a Froome fan and  am disappointed in this and don't want to believe it is intentional , even if unintentional it is there ! so pretty pissed about it

All that aside, my point is it can hardly be called cheating if he has being asked ( or is required ) to recreate the scenario in which he had an elevated reading.

More like due diligence and preparation , who would not ?

Personally I feel the same, but that’s just a moral gut feeling. As a business and pro sports team I am not sure why they should? What good would happen if they do and what bad would happen if they don’t

Moral high ground vs what the rules allow.

It is a professional sport. With sponsorships and investments at stake.

It's not a moral issue. Or ethical issue. It's rules in sport being broken. Yes.

I often post that professional sportsmen are no spiritual gurus. They race to win. Make money. Boost exposure for the brands they represent. And do exactly what the top dogs in the boardroom say.

It's possible that Froome Dawg wants to check out voluntarily until the matter is resolved.

Using his value system and all that.

Even so, he won't be allowed to and will follow the brief / mandate of stakeholders.

Let's see where this all goes.

Let me enjoy the TDU.

There is a lot more this than what people realise.

Oleg gave an insight to some degree with his antics, but it happens a lot more than even he showed.

Entertaining food for thought for the scientific side of your brain

Must admit that was a good video. Ross is being usually impartial on the Froome issue, well this video vs his twitter feed at least.

Thanks, that is a good run down from somebody who is generally well respected.

What if the team doc administered the meds? I can see that might turn into a legal minefield....

They should fire him, strip him of all his titles, publicly shame him, put him on Oprah to admit guilt and then start legal action for all the sponsorship he received.

They have to be consistent, isn't that what they did to the other multiple TDF winner.

I think you misunderstood me...I think it does matter outside the cycling world....

Yes it would be very bad for Sky not only that the team and race schedule is built around him..but it couldn't have come at a worst time for Sky with the impending Disney takeover of fox which owns most of Sky, it's not like cycling make their sponsors huge amount of money...why would a corporation sponsor a team that have scandals and don't make them money.

This is why I say the longer they drag this out and don't make a call asap the more they dig themselves into a hole.

Sponsors don't like this k@k...

Also, French guy at head of UCI now for whatever that's worth. As they say, just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're NOT after you

Would really suck for fans of the sport if this were true. Let's hope not hey.

So when the British head of the UCI hides the positive of a British rider on a British team that his son used to work for, that's ok?

I'm a fan of the sport, but right now I'd rather watch lawn bowls. Yes, those geysers are probably doping too, but they don't take me for a fool...

If things turn out bad for Froome and he receives a ban (which I don't think he will) do you guys think Sky will stick to their zero tolerance stance and fire him or will they say well it wasn't really a bad bad thing and keep him?

I think the ship on the zero tolerance angle has sailed a long long time ago:

Bobby Julich (confessed doper and Chris's former coach)

Geert Leinders (life time banned doping doctor who served on Sky)

Jonathan Tiernan-Locke (doped, but did it "without the team knowing", despite pointing the finger at Dr "I lost my laptop and don't keep backups" Freeman)

The Jiffy Bag incident

The "we never ordered all that testosterone" saga

The "we ordered bucket loads of kenacort so that the support staff (and only the support staff) could lose weight" episode

The "let's use TUEs to get a benefit, not because we need them and then blame hay-fever" philosophy

I really don’t think anybody said that was ok? Point me to their post and we can honesty climb into it. Other wise this seems a bit like a “but her emails” type of angle doesn’t it? Condemning or questioning the new French dude, does not equate to support of the previous president.

I think Cookson did damage to cycling with a biased approach, and I think David is going to damage cycling with a biased approach. I hope to be proven wrong, but the way this story was leaked does make one ask questions.

Edit: on the ship that’s sailed, 100% agreed.
