That was nice of him to do that, would be interesting to know how that was possible tho, I see that Racetec have not updated it tho as of yet.

Was not me, I rode AL.

He had a machanical few km into the ride that could not be sorted, walked back from there to the start. Spoke to him after reading the post above and he confirmed phoning racetec who requested a written request for their records which he sent via email yesterday.

Well that's pretty cool. Are you both going down to Argus? I have booked a spot for my bike with K

Yes thanks for the support. I'll drop back and ride with her. See if she can manage a sub 4. We'll look after your bike nicely

I was in front of BL, we missed the front turn off and the whole bunch had to turn around, from there no one wanted to work except 1 or 2 guys. When C caught us it was 1 huge mess up. I decided to sit in front and keep myself out of trouble. People crashed left right and center. I managed to finish in front with the guys. Lekker race overall

was wondering why we (CL) managed to catch BL so quickly.

was a proper dog show trying to get past and just resulted in massive bunch hitting the turn towards suikerbos

General note for those who are wondering: I'd like to clarify as I've had calls from RaceTec etc. regarding my Dis-Chem 62km result as I finished significantly ahead.

I did start in 'AS' at exactly 7:59am (See Strava/Garmin) but sprinted ahead of the group after only about 2km into the race. I was wearing an orange Team Vitality Jersey and there was what appeared to be an official White Ford 4x4 following me the entire way which I presume can be easily confirmed.

Koedoes to you for making the data available BEFORE the pitch forks came out.

Transparency is always good. Well done.

And well done on the ride - so serious pace.

Either Strava has it's weighted power calculation horribly incorrect, or you had a motor in your bike.

With those power numbers, you should be riding pro on the European circuit and winning. Average power to weight ratio of 5,6 for 63km? I smell something fishy.

*Edit: Or you are a pro on the European circuit and you're here on holiday?

Wow, just looked at your results

You basically just started cycling.

Meteoric rise in results, both road and MTB.!!

Not just that

Also came 13th in the recent Barberton XCM Marathon.  No that Barberton is that technical, but he shows good MTB skills as well.

I don't use/own a power meter - That's Strava making up it's own weighted power based on who knows what. It appears for every ride I upload. I definitely agree I was NOT pumping out that many watts on average.

Unfortunately I don't even own a road bike yet, let alone one with a motor. I'm borrowing my fathers ~10+ year old Specalized S-Works at the moment.

I'll be at the BestMed Berge en Dale 59km tomorrow with same bike & Kit - Hopefully plan to win again? :)

Kudus!!

Thanks all :)

Yeh started in September where I saw my a** in k2C being untrained. I'm more into MTB though and that's what I train with during the week and on the weekends. Also been doing smaller races like Angstrom Summer Fast One (40km) came 3rd, and then the other day Northern Farm 'Jackal Dash' 65km coming 4th.

Loving riding though and hoping to just keep improving over time :)

Maybe check your weight settings as that plays a major role

Thanks for pointing that out Schnavel - I haven't changed those settings since setting up Strava, I'll update that tonight so hopefully it gives a much more accurate estimate next time.
