Apologies for hijack bit I was literally just Googling to see how to stop brakes squeaking and to try and determine whether it was perhaps SRAM/SRAM TS specific as the noise these brakes make have been a shocker compared to brakes I have had in the past.

Right. That would suck.

So would a bike mech be able to adjust it a long way around?

Bite point can't be adjusted with these brakes, but, and this is a big but, I've had some success adjusting the bite point on Shimano brakes but slightly overfilling the system. A good mechanic might be able to achieve the same results with Level TL brakes....might...

If they're pulling unevenly or too close to the bars then either the pads are shot or they need a bleed, but otherwise they take where they take.

In that case, if they're pulling unevenly it's most likely because a bubble got in during installation, in which case see my first post. If they're not, you can adjust reach with an allen key on the lever which will also affect bite point.

I have Level TLs as well. My front brake's bite point is perfect, but I was in more or less the same situation as you with the rear one. It was very lazy indeed.

This is what I did based on advice from JP at Bell's Cycles in Nelspruit:

- Take the wheel off.

- Pull the brake lever 4 to 5mm.

- Put the wheel back on and go for a test ride.

- Repeat if necessary.

Works great. My rear brake is now back in action.

This is a classic trick known by any Formula rider. :whistling:
