Stages Power Reading

This morning my Stages (Campy SR), 50km into a ride, started reading out some good numbers, now normally I would be ok with this, but we were going hard and said I was sitting at 700w, was probably more around 350w and it stayed high.

I then stopped to calibrate it and got a Error 32, the tried again and got an error 0 and when I started going again, I was then sitting at 1200w.... maybe my Garmin520 took a Salbutamol puff or two, but I think its unlikely.....

Anybody have some advice?

Calibration using the Stages App?

Maybe some software is outdated.

There's been a handful updates already for 2018.

All the best.

I'd pull the battery for an hour and see what happens and check with stages app. then i'd try and run an update. good luck. let us know how this resolves... hopefully with out a spanner

I had a similar problem. Mine then went on the blink entirely. Eventually after sending it back and forth to Omnico, they updated the software and all is good again.
My 2c worth... change the battery and update the software. If that doesn't work send it down to Omnico... it may take a week or two to get back, but should be all good.

Bought mine from CWC, you think Omnico will help?

Give CWC a call.

Mine just died on me on the weekend and CWC have arranged for it to be fetched today and they are going to send it to Omnico themselves and hopefully warranty it.

Is this a Gen2 stages? I had a very similar problem last year. It might have had something to do with the temperature. Went for an early ride in Suikerbosrand one winter morning and power reading was all over the place.

Did the reset etc. but ended up contacting Stages. Their support is really good.

My issue resolved itself once I replaced the battery with a new one (although the other battery was still new).

Could also be a connection issue between the power meter and your head unit.

what i would recommend is have a bit of cement for breakfast and HTFU and just hang onto your training partners wheel. Those numbers were real. :)
