No, but since Team Spur is quite organised and have someone on board with a good media background they're able to draft a press release and send it to media. Who in turn can publish it at their discretion under a separate section for reports, like under 'News'

As a rule best practice normally dictates that the copy and images are proofed/edited (if required) and the source quoted.

I have been but thehub isn't exactly Time magazine - I'm fairly sure they'll accept a sensibly written article from anyone.

The link you supplied was an article written by another publication. Good practice and copyright laws mean we can’t and won’t simply lift and republish someone else’s work.

 

As it’s not a primary function of Bike Hub we unfortunately don’t have any in house capacity to report on events and athlete performances and thus do rely on externally supplied content, usually from teams, sponsors or event PR teams.

 

In this case we’ve simply not received anything.

noted I also wouldn't have done it if I was in your shoes, those okes took a local MTB race of the weekend and published the the top 10 as the final results on Saturday before Racetec could even do a "cleanup" i see it was rectified today though.
