Training/riding on anti biotics

I have been having on and off flu-like symptomps almost every 2 to 3 week since December 2017. The last time I went to the Dr he gave me 5 antibiotics pills on a Tuesday and I asked if I could train on the weekend, he said in 3 days I should be ok and I can resume training. After drinking the 1st pill I felt 100% ok but I didnt train...on Saturday I took my 5th and last antibiotics pill just after the race...and it was all good. Check with your Dr he might allow you to train while you are on antibiotics.

I think in your case the best opinion is what your body says, you will know how you feel during and after training.

Just remeber to start easy, try keep the heart rate low, this is key. Progress from there depending on how you feel.

Love the little jabs you're giving. Well done, you must feel good.

Gotta love the way people play the man and not the ball on this forum. I asked questions and got attacked properly. The old pack mentality coming out in proper form.

The statements that started this little jab session from you had a serious lack of facts. The facts have come out since then, lo and behold, I was right. But hey, continue the way you are. I honestly can't care about an anonymous.

YOU MUST BE REAL FUN AT PARTIES

Don't be the guy that we read about next week that "suddenly and unexpectedly" dropped dead during a short bike ride after not having fully recovered from flu/cold/URTI. Just rest man. It's not the end of the world if you do.

It would be interesting to see statistics if there were on how many sport related deaths are due to heart failure from anitibiotics or other medicine.

Should call training on antibiotics the "how to die suddenly simulator"

It's not the antibiotic that's the problem.... it's the infection the ab's trying to kill that's the problem.

Ive always kept my opinion to myself when these subjects come up but it's time to air my view.

I'm always shocked at how many people ask for medical advice on an internet forum.

WTF? You're asking people who don't know you and wouldn't lose one second of sleep if you dropped dead for medical advice?

Ask you doctor. If you don't like what he/she has to say find another doctor. But asking for medical advice from an internet forum is like asking financial advice from a fortune teller.

I did it to affirm my gut feeling on the matter. And it worked.

So I finished the course yesterday and the 5 days of rest (as per my GP's suggestion) has expired, took my last AB at 2pm. I am gonna do a mellow gym session later on today focussed on training my back , will watch my heart rate and not push it too hard.

edit: So yeah, did some rowing and hit my delts, lats and traps. Heart rate didn't exceed 127 bpm. Felt good to be back.
