Wannabe Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 This tread is not a slate of Avid brakes. The ones on my bike are not in good condition and I would like to replace them. The levers are very hard. In the meantime, I am replacing the pads and rotors until I can afford a new disk brake set. Take them to a good LBS, ask them to properly bleed them, and with properly bedded pads and good quality discs, you will be amazed by the transformation. Modulation on those brakes are great, they are not "on / off switches", you can control your braking perfectly.

Not a problem... Carefully undo from lever end, feed from back wheel up through the tubes andre-button up.... If done properly you wont need to re-bleed.
