3T Strada 2: getting off the 1x train

3T launched the Strada DUE, for use with 2x road gruppos.

 

I guess this settles the 1x debate on road bikes - this is equivalent to admitting it was a cr@p idea imo.

Yeah, it never really caught on, so they needed to rethink their sales strategy.

Not putting some kind of slot/hole in for an optional FD was sales suicide on Version 1.0!

My thoughts exactly, especially when they only started complaining about it when it cost them a win

See Adam Blythe pretty scathing about 3T again. He is a pro racer, not some marketer. Seat post slip, 1x terrible idea. 

 

My predictions, 100% correct. 

 

Now its 2x, they at least get to use proper groupsets on the bikes as well now, like the rest of peleton.
