Is it safe to drill holes in your cranks?

as long as you use safety equipment and use a decent drill bit it's completely safe to drill holes in your crank - wear goggles

Get rid of the bike altogether, and just run. That's the easiest and cheapest way to say about 10kg.

Running is far too dangerous

Of course, how else did the hole for the pedals get there.

I'm replacing my tyres with a layer of duct tape, sticky side out. Better grip, less weight

Get some of those foam tires we use to get on our tricycles when we were lighties

Go SS and cut even more weight, no gears, no Shifters

SS fixed gear ... Could solve the braking issue, I haven't been able to ever brake with one though [emoji848]

Had an amazing idea last night, roadbike tyres instead of Merida Racelites.

Will stretch them over the Crests. Will use water as sealant to further save weight
