JacBrand Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Personally I prefer Shimano SLX.My previous bike had the SLX brakes and they were great. My new bike has Avid Elixer R, and compared to the Shimanos they perform poorly.

Hairy Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 I have owned both the RX's and the CR's ... I prefer the CR's over the RX's. Better modulation, and the lever feel is better for me.
droo Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 RX. Just learn to bleed them properly, they'll need it at least every pad change.
