There are generally less than the requisite 80 riders in Elite who are chosen by their federations to race. .. so in most instances .. if you just get down clean you will qualify. The number of riders qualifying for the final are as follows:- Men Elite: top 80 riders in the qualifying round- Women Elite: top 40 riders in the qualifying round- Men Juniors: top 60 riders in the qualifying round- Women Juniors: top 15 riders in the qualifying roundFor the final in the Men Elite and Women Elite, the “protected riders” are:- Riders ranked in the top 10 Women Elite and the top 20 Men Elite of the final world cup standings of the current season.
