alu bike and carbon weighing the same why ?

Indeed, i had a few chromo road bikes and they were light. Cant recall the weight or that it was even weighed backed then. But just compared to all the rage alloy years ago, it was close

My carbon EVO weighed 12.5 at the LBS when I took delivery.

Stock standard XL size, tubes, no computer, one cage no bottle,Time atac pedals

 

Imagine what the Alu one would have weighed???

X0 is significantly lighter than GX when you include the cassette in the equation, and pedals are also not light. 

 

Also - primary benefit of carbon is not weight, it's frame stiffness.

It's time you get yourself a steel bike so you can feel real ride quality ;)

If I'm going to buy a steel bike I shall have to wait for the wagon train to come by my farm to take me to town...that could be as soon as the next three months....
