Could be as much as a few hundred Rand too. The spoke is cheap but you could need new rim tape and sealent top up. Won't really have to replace a rim it's hardly that serious. Can you not try a DIY first lots if vids on YouTube. If you don't come right then LBS it

Carefully unscrew the broken spoke end from the nipple making sure the nipple doesn't fall into the rim cavity. Depending on which side of the hub the spoke broke you may have to remove the disk to get the other end out. Buy a new spoke making sure you get the correct length. Refit the spoke noting how the other spokes are laced and do the same. Tighten to approximately the same tension as other spokes. Go ride your bike.

Assuming the nipple hasn't broken off that's how simple it is however if the the nipple has broken off and it's tubeless it is a little more time consuming and 'complicated' ...

Ha, can relate @notsobigben???? it is as simple as headshot says but once I lost the nipple into the rim. Choice words followed. Spent almost a day fishing out the nipple with the old spoke and prestik caus I refused to go the whole rim tape and sealent route ????

And trust me a lost nipple left in a rim can and will turn you to hard tack in no time!

Replacing a spoke is fairly quick and painless - R15-20 for the spoke.

If the nipple is still exposed, it's easiest as one can simply thread on the new spoke. If the nipple is inside the rim cavity, it adds a bit of work to remove the tyre, remove the rim tape and add new sealant.

Even worst case scenario, with tape, spoke and sealant should only be R200 or so....

Give me a shout if you need any help.
